Merieux NutriSciences Certification is an approved Certification Body to deliver a wide range of Freshcare food safety & quality standards.
We are an internationally recognised food safety and certification provider, and we conduct integrated audit services for fresh producers and manufacturers to certify compliance across many food industry standards.
Freshcare is Australia’s largest Food Safety and Quality Assurance program within the Fresh Produce Industry. This scheme now provides a suite of assurance standards for the fresh produce and wine industries as well.
The following programmes are accredited under JASANZ and are GFSI benchmarked standards:
- FSQ V4.2 (Food Safety & Quality – On-farm Standard)
- Supply Chain V2 (Food Safety & Quality – Supply Chain Standard)
The following programmes are non-accredited Freshcare Programmes:
- Environmental V3 – On-farm Standard including Banana Reef
- AWISSP-VIT V1 – Viticulture Standard
- AWISSP-WIN V1.1 – Winery Standard
Freshcare started as an on-farm food safety program developed by fresh produce industry experts, in response to the need for a practical, cost-effective, industry-focussed food safety program. Based on GAP (Good Agricultural Practice) principles, Freshcare was designed to allow the participation of all grower businesses, regardless of crops, size of operation or location in Australia.
