Developed by Industry for Industry. The Fair Farms Program is managed by Growcom Australia and fosters fair and responsible employment practices across the Australian Horticulture industry. 

Fair Farms is an Australian Certification Program that fosters fair and ethical employment practices across the horticulture industry within Australia. By meeting Fair Farms’ key objectives, growers can demonstrate to their customers and the community that they treat workers fairly, and ethically.

The Fair Farms Program has been designed to assist growers in improving workplace compliance, ensuring fair treatment of workers and reducing the risk of worker exploitation and other human rights violations. 

Mérieux NutriSciences Certification is a Provisional APSCA Member Firm and an approved body to conduct independent third-party certification audits for Fair Farms in horticultural businesses. The purpose of this audit is to validate your company’s compliance with all applicable workplace laws and demonstrate an approach that integrates ‘social responsibility as a function of your business operations and supply chain. 

It also enables your business to assess its ethics, ensuring your employees and contractors are treated in a fair, ethical and responsible manner.

Important auditing requirements: Your Fair Farms Audit must take place during peak season. Please ensure you advise our certification team of your peak production periods when completing application forms.

How do you begin?

• Register with Fair Farms through www.fairfarms.com.au 
• Complete the Online Self-Assessment (OSA). This is a confidential form.
• Complete Fair Farms Training if required. Fair Farms provided online learning modules. If you require assistance, the Fair Farms Team is available to help.

• If the audit is successful, a certificate will be issued to your business by Fair Farms.
