In alignment with our parent company’s global 2030 ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiative, MNAQ is proud to take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable and responsible food system in Australia.

Our global ESG commitments are guided by three pillars:

Better Food – Sustainable Food Systems

We partner with agri-food companies on sustainable sourcing through better agricultural practices and the development of alternative proteins. We also support food companies in their transition to sustainable packaging while ensuring food safety and quality. In addition, we develop methodologies and data-based solutions to allow high-quality environmental footprinting assessments in the agri-food sector.

Better Health – Safe & Healthy Lives

MNAQ upholds globally consistent, high-quality standards to protect consumer health and deliver best-in-class services. We are committed to providing the safest possible working environment and supporting our employees’ growth, development, and fulfilment throughout their careers.

All Mérieux NutriSciences labs are ISO 17025 certified and aligned with our One MxNS Global Quality System
40% reduction of workplace injuries (LTIFR baseline FY22)
90% of eligible employees (with at least one year of seniority) will receive regular performance and career reviews
Over 70% employee response rate in the annual satisfaction survey, with actions taken accordingly based on the results
100% coverage of the priority targeted audience will roll out the MxNs Leadership Program for ~430 leaders across 32 countries

30% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions intensity
40% of our spend to be allocated to suppliers engaged in an SBTi-aligned or strong CO₂ emissions reduction trajectory
100% of our sites with a testing activity will measure our water consumption to improve our practices and usages
Over 45% Women Representation in Leadership positions (CEO-1 to CEO-3 levels)
A gender pay gap between -2% and +2% through transparent evaluation and fair compensation policies
Screen and validate MXNS suppliers through our Third Party Control system – Maintain 90%
Provide regular training to ensure employees fully understand and uphold MXNS highest ethical standards 95% completion rate
Equip 100% of top leadership with sustainability training to drive responsible business practices
